This is a fine reproduction of a c.1897 Pullman Palace Car catalog, lent to us by a generous collector. We are dating the catalog at 1897, the year of George Pullman's death, because Robert T. Lincoln (son of Abraham Lincoln) is listed as Acting President. Robert T. Lincoln became president of the Pullman company later that year. The catalog also includes a complete list of company officers, division and district superintendents, and agents.
This 38-page reproduction catalog includes our introduction and both the 2-page Complete Pullman Train and our own single-page composite of this image. All the photos are great throughout, and show extensive and detailed areas of car interiors, including lighting and furnishings. The plans and dimensions are presented in great detail as well. This is a very nice catalog.
We have also recently released our reproduction of the 1908-34 catalog from the Safety Car Heating & Lighting Company, the original of which was once owned by the Pullman-Bradley Company.

We have digitally reproduced and restored our original catalog at an extremely high resolution, and printed the pages on a heavy paper stock. This is not a photocopy - our photo-editing software and digital techniques allow us to retain an unusual image clarity and depth of detail, limited sometimes only by the production values of the original. Some of our fine reproduction catalogs are already in museum research collections.
This reproduction catalog is meant to be a permanent reference. Its color-coordinated plastic spiral binding, unlike a cheaper comb binding, allows this book to remain unharmed when left open at the desired place. The front and back covers are printed on heavy marbled cover stock and protected by sturdy clear vinyl outer covers.
